The following key points need to be noted during the operation of the UV plate hot stamping solution:

Equipment selection and preparation: Ensure the selection of high-quality UV flatbed printers and laminating machines, the performance of these equipment directly affects the effect of hot gold and silver. At the same time, ensure that the equipment has been maintained and calibrated to ensure the stability and accuracy of the operation. Pre-printing preparation: use A flat AB film of 30cm*40cm to completely tear off the B film (waste film) to ensure the integrity of the adhesive on the A film, and recommend customers to carry out electrostatic removal operations after tearing, such as spreading the flat film on the ground to tear off or on the back of the film

Wipe with a damp dust-free cloth or other cloth. Place the film flat on the printing plate and turn on the suction function.

Operation process control: In the process of hot stamping, it is necessary to strictly control the operation process, including printing, film coating, heating, film tearing and other steps. Ensure that every step is carried out in accordance with the specifications to avoid operational errors or omissions.

Especially the software operation Settings, printing part of the hot stamping (silver solution) :

(1) Establish spot color channel: It is necessary to establish a spot color channel of gloss oil that needs to be hot gold or hot silver in PS software (spot color channel of gloss oil, named Spot_2), UV 3040 Star V only needs to establish two spot color channels, one is established for white ink, and the other is established for gloss oil.

After establishing the spot color channel, save the file as TIF format and import it into the software for software Settings, print part of the gloss oil, the recommended ink setting: 3w+1c+2V(if the customer is still a little difficult to test the glue can be considered to change to 3V), the printing height of the platform is displayed as 2.2mm.

Because if the amount of ink is not enough, the thickness of the printed pattern is not enough, and the touch of the touch will be very thin, the glue needs to be removed around the pattern in the process of removing glue, and it is easy to remove the pattern we print together. Therefore, it is easier to carry out this step after testing this ink ratio in a variety of cases.

(2) Print all hot stamping (silver) scheme

Print all hot gold (silver) recommended only light oil, print 5 PASS, open two-way printing.

Temperature and time control: Heating is a key step in the process of hot stamping, and it is necessary to strictly control the heating temperature and heating time. Too high temperature or too long time may lead to material deformation or hot stamping silver layer off, while too low temperature or too short time may not achieve the desired effect.

When the printing is complete, install the matching strip B film on the laminating machine, set the temperature to about 30℃, the laminating speed as uniformly slow as possible, by adjusting the blue knob on the device. The setting value is about 5-10.

After the film is finished, if it feels that the setting speed is faster and there are obvious gaps, it is recommended to use a soft scraper to completely re-press the pattern manually, so as to prevent the small edges of some patterns from being pressed very well and there are gaps, resulting in the pattern itself being taken down when the waste is discharged. And when the waste film is torn off, the patterned A film should be pressed flat and then the B film should be slowly peeled off with glue as much as possible.

Hot stamping (silver) operation is carried out after the removal of glue is completed

After it is confirmed that the excess glue around the pattern of the A film is removed, the gold (silver) film is coated at a temperature of 85-90℃, using the lowest speed of 1 gear.

Quality inspection and adjustment: After the completion of gold and silver stamping, quality inspection should be carried out to ensure that the gold and silver stamping layer is uniform, complete and without defects. If the problem is found, it should be adjusted and repaired in time.

In short, UV plate hot stamping program needs to pay attention to equipment, materials, design, operation, temperature and time control and quality inspection and other aspects, only comprehensive consideration and strict control of these points, in order to obtain high-quality hot stamping effect.
